Role Allocation

I am working individually in my A2 project, which essentially makes me the: director, editor, writer and camera person. This practice is called being the 'auteur'. Due to this, I can class myself as solely responsible for the production of this film.

The auteur theory is where the director is seen as being the independent driving force in making a film. This theory arose in France in the late 1940s, it was created by the cinematic theorist AndrĂ© Blazin. This theory was the foundation of the French new wave (nouvelle vague) cinematic movement.
