Role Allocation
I am working individually in my A2 project, which essentially makes me the: director, editor, writer and camera person. This practice is called being the 'auteur'. Due to this, I can class myself as solely responsible for the production of this film.
The auteur theory is where the director is seen as being the independent driving force in making a film. This theory arose in France in the late 1940s, it was created by the cinematic theorist André Blazin. This theory was the foundation of the French new wave (nouvelle vague) cinematic movement.
